DR. SRINI PILLAY

This episode's Interesting Person is Harvard trained psychiatrist Dr. Srini Pillay who really is a master of the brain. He's much more than a medical doctor for the brain. He's one of the most sought after mentors and consultants for the Fortune 500 club. Sit back and enjoy the conversation.

Check out this episode!

Who would pick up the phone from thousands of miles away and call Harvard University and say “I want to go to school there?” And then get someone on the phone and get in. Try a young man of Indian descent growing up in South Africa.

Dr. Srini Pillay is a world renown psychiatrist who does more than have office hours at Harvard. He is hired by Fortune 500 Companies to come in and make a difference. And he has the coolest shoes.

Srini, and he prefers that to Dr. Pillay, talks about the brain and he in our podcast you will learn more about your brain than you ever thought you could imagine. The first time I heard him speak I had no idea what the heck he was talking about and I told him so. I’m not so sure I fully understand even after sitting down with him at his hotel and doing this podcast, but I do know one thing; He will blow your mind.

Simply put, he puts the brain into the most simplest of terms and gets you thinking about the things you never thought about when it comes to your brain and it’s functions. This is NOT a bunch of high end terms which you need a dictionary or a “Harvard” education to understand. Rather a real look at your brain functions and how it works through every day life.

He’s a guy you feel instantly drawn to, so join me for an interview on our podcast with Dr. Srini Pillay on “Interesting People with Bob Brill” which you can find on iTunes and so many other APPS.

STEVEN GEIGER - THE MENSCH FOUNDATION

(Steven Geiger, Founder Mensch International Foundation) "Interesting People with Bob Brill" a podcast with Steven Geiger, founder of the Mensch International Foundation.  So what is a Mensch? It's the first question I put to Steven Geiger, the founder of the Mensch International Foundation. His answer simply, "its a German word meaning 'Human Being.'" In one of the most entertaining hour long podcasts we've done, Steven talks about being a Mensch and who is and who isn't in today's society, as well as how to become one. And being a better human being is what the foundation is all about, and teaching younger people how to be a Mensch. It's also about the Holocaust. Steven is the child of Holocaust survivors, survivors of the death camps. Born in Hungary, he grew up in the United States and like so many in the community, feels people are forgetting about what happened, and like most

Rene's Van & Storage Movers to the Stars!

Rene's Van and Storage in Los Angeles has been around for 85 years and moved presidents, mega stars and rock stars. The tales abound but not only that, average folks too. Maybe you. Some of the most interesting tales of the strangest and multi-million dollar items moved over the last eight decades. Tune in. Check out this episode! Marshall and Michelle Lambert spend a lot of time looking up as you can see in the photos. Rene's (Marshall's grandfather) held this company business 85 years ago and it has become the "go to" mover and storage place for Hollywood's elite and political figures like LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, too. Ronald Reagan, Frank Sinatra, Clark Gable and even Marylin Monroe all used their services over the years. Million dollar paintings have been stored here, $100,000 pieces of furniture and more. The tales they have to tell are fascinating and you can hear it all at the podcast above on "Interesting People with Bob Brill." H

Dr. Gary Alter, Sex Change Surgery

(Dr. Gary Alter, Beverly Hills) Everything you ever wanted to know about transgender, sex reassignment or gender confirmation surgery in one hour. Dr. Gary Alter is a Beverly Hills doctor who really is a leading expert in the field who has performed this life changing surgery on the famous and the not-so-famous. In my hour long chat with Dr. Alter, I found him incredibly open as he walked me through everything from why someone would have transfer surgery, to the nuts and bolts of it all such as penis replacement (no pun intended, it just came up that way -- oh that was ever worse. Sorry) Anyway, the very serious side of what we discussed stems from the military to the religious to bullying. Whether Gay or Straight, believe it or not those are issues too. When this writer says it was a fascinating conversation, I mean it. Whether you agree with the issues of those who feel they were born in the wrong body
